Rosie Beck – absorb it all

Rosie Beck likes to get her hands dirty, so we talked all things dirt…well, not really. we talked about textures, soil chromatography and why her parents said no to art school.

getting to know her over the last couple of years has been so great and I am honored that she dug out one of her pieces and sent it to me! textures beyond textures.

Łukasz and Alicia Grabowski – try it

Lukasz and Alicia from Level Up Lemonade joined me in the first face to face chat. we’ve been friends for well over a decade. it’s been such a treat to watch them turn ideas into businesses.

for the last two+ years they’ve been running Level Up Lemonade, a pop up shop that has an array of flavors. Lukasz is typically the boisterous one. he’s usually moving in four directions at once and is a lifelong Nintendo fan. Alicia comes out of her shell when you get to know her and it’s been such a delight over the last decade.

these two have been there for us during hard times and we’ve had so many memorable moments over the years. I’m really thankful to have these these two in my life.

Song A Day Mann – make it and see what happens

I had the delight of meeting Jonathan Mann [aka Song A Day Mann] and his family in 2023 while they were vacationing at Disney World. We had such a great time and a super long chat back then, so I knew talking to him would be fun and I wanted to learn even more about how his automated video posting setup had expanded.

Song A Day Mann broke down The Toolkit, rewatchable entertainment, growing his family via foster to adopt and so much more technical insights to his processes and ideas

Lapin Mignon – let’s embrace it

Lapin Mignon is one of the sweetest humans I’ve come in contact with. the artwork she creates reflects her, including the soft palette choices and a love of nature.

we talked about family travels, why Lapin loves watercolor so very much, two pieces of advice [one of them being “bad”] and I can never forget the moment she almost left after asking the first question…
